FAQ - Error Codes When Assigning Article ID
Updated over a week ago

What does the error "Code is not in the inventory" mean?

When assigning an article ID, the error "Code is not in the inventory" is displayed.

This error does not necessarily mean the article is not in your inventory at all - it indicates that the assigned article ID does not belong to the product's inventory connection.

This error occurs often when assigning articles via barcode scanners. You can however always assign any article ID by entering it manually in the ID field and pressing enter.

Example: Scanning the barcode of a green T-Shirt will return said error when the order only holds one blue Jacket. If the customer changed their mind at pickup and would like to rent the Jacket instead of the Shirt, simply add the Jacket to the order and remove the shirt.

What does the error code "Product code is not for rent" mean?

The assigned article is not defined to be for rent. This happens, when the article is defined as a sales article in the inventory.
