Send custom order confirmation emails to your customers

How to automatically send custom email notifications to your customers

Learn how to quickly set up a system to send automated, personalized emails to your customers for updates, confirmations, or greetings. This simple guide requires no technical skills and can be completed in just 10 minutes and requires no technical skills on your end.

Step 1: TWICE - Webhook

  1. Select add to add a webhook.
  2. Give the webhook a descriptive name. For example “Order confirmations” and click Save.
  3. Copy the newly appearing blue URL to clipboard and don't close the make.com window.
  4. Open your Twice Admin, navigate to Account > Integrations to add a new Webhook and apply the following:
    1. Triggers on: Select order/created
    2. URL: Paste the URL from your make scenario and add it
    3. Test your Webhook: Send test request and continue when successful
      When the initial test returns failed, navigate back to your make scenario and click "redetermine data structure" and retry the Test in Twice Admin
    4. Label: Give the webhook a descriptive label
  5. Back in your Make scenario, select Continue

Step 2: Email

  1. Add the Gmail widget through the search field.
  2. Connect the widget to your Google account or any alternative email provider.
  3. Toggle on the "Map" switch to allow the widget to get information from the webhook.
  4. Select the "To" field from the dropdown according to the screenshot.
  5. Add the subject line and the content. You can use the elements pulled by the webhook to personalize the message. 

6. This completes the process. To check the setup, you can create a test order.

Step 3: Save and Activate Your Scenario

Save your scenario setup in Make and toggle it on. Going forward, new TWICE orders will automatically trigger a customer order confirmation within seconds.

Step 4: Remember to switch off the TWICE emails

In your TWICE Admin > Settings > Emails switch off the automated Emails sent by TWICE, otherwise your customers will receive both emails.

  • You can delay the email by inserting the Sleep tool into your setup and choosing the delay.
