Customizing Start Times for a Product

Learn How to Customize the Start Times Your Customers Can Select in Your Online Store on TWICE

Updated over 8 months ago

When setting up rental products in TWICE, the default configuration allows for bookings at every hour within your opening hours. However, you might need to offer more tailored start times based on various factors such as special dates, outside normal operating hours, or specific days of the week.

How to Customize Start Times

  1. Access Product Settings: From your catalog, open the product you want to adjust start times for.

  2. Navigate to Availability: Click on the Availability tab and scroll down to the section titled Online Store.

  3. Adjust Start Times: Under the start time heading, you can modify the times when the product can be booked.

  4. Set Multiple Start Time Rules: Products can have multiple start time rules, which can either repeat weekly or be set for specific dates.

  5. Edit or Add Start Times: Customize the start times by editing an existing rule using the pen icon or create a new one by clicking Add Start Time.

Make Your Product Bookable Outside Your Store's Opening Hours

  • Open Product Availability Settings: From the Online Store section of the Availability tab, either modify an existing start time rule or click Add Start Time to create a new one.

  • Customize Start Times: Choose the custom option for defining the start times and select Allow Times Outside Opening Hours.

Customize Start Times Depending on Day of the Week

  1. Create a New Start Time Rule: Click Add Start Time.

  2. Select Days of the Week: Choose which days you want the new start times to apply.

Make Your Product Bookable Only on Specific Custom Dates

  1. Create a New Start Time Rule: Click Add Start Time.

  2. Choose Specific Dates: Select the "Selected Dates" option and input the dates for which the start times will apply.

How Multiple Start Time Rules Work Together

  • Date-Specific Rules Take Precedence: Start times designated for a specific date will override any weekly start time rules.

  • Combining Weekly Rules: If there are multiple weekly start time rules, they will be combined to provide additional start times.

    • Example: If there's a rule for additional start times at 10:00 and 11:00 every Tuesday, and another rule for daily start times at 09:00, both rules will apply concurrently on Tuesdays.
