Learn How to Bundle Products into a Product Package on TWICE

Updated over a week ago

Combining various products and services from your inventory into a single offering can greatly enhance your product catalog and customer experience. This process is known in TWICE as creating product packages.

What Are Product Packages?

Product packages on TWICE allow you to offer combinations of different products and services as one consolidated package. This can make your offerings appear more organized and can simplify the decision-making process for your customers by grouping related items together.

How to Create Product Packages

  1. Install the Package Products Add-On: Before creating packages, ensure the Package Products Add-On is installed from your TWICE Add-Ons.

  2. Create Individual Products: Ensure all products intended for the package are created and listed in your catalog.

  3. Create a Package Product:

    • Navigate to your Catalog and select New Product in the top right corner.

    • Enter at least the product name and click Create Product. You can edit further details later.

    • In the General tab, locate and check the This is a product package checkbox.

    • Search for and add the individual products to the package by clicking on each in the list.

    • Once all products are added, click the Save Changes button in the top right corner.

Limitations

  • The quantity of each individual product within a package is fixed at 1.

  • Package products can only include individual items. Nested packages (packages within packages) are not supported.

Why Create Product Packages? Use Cases and Examples

Creating product packages can be advantageous for several reasons:

  • Simplified Booking: For instance, if your store has 20 touring bikes, 15 helmets, and 30 frame bags, bundling them into one package makes the booking process more straightforward for customers who need all three.

  • Special Pricing: Offering a special price for the entire package can be more attractive than pricing each item individually.

  • Inventory Management: Package availability is typically determined by the item with the least stock. For example, if helmets run out, the entire package becomes unavailable, though individual bikes and bags can still be rented out separately. This can help manage inventory more effectively.
