Inventory articles explained

How are inventory articles used in Twice

Each inventory article represents a single physical item in your warehouse or storage. Your articles are offered as products or product packages to your customers for booking.

Inventory articles hold essential information about the physical item itself, including but not limited to their unique article identifier, SKU-Code, and allocation for Sales or Rental usage.

Depending on your requirements and products, specifications are a flexible way to describe and define details about your articles. Some fixed specifications are given by Twice but you can use your own additional specifications to add meta-information about your article.

Learn here about all possible information you can store within your inventory articles. Find below all columns from your Inventory > Articles view explained.

Article ID

Each article has a unique article identifier to clearly distinguish it from other articles. Rentle can auto-generate identifiers for your articles, or you can choose to add them manually.

With auto-generated IDs, you just define the number of articles you want to create. With custom identifiers, the quantity is determined from the number of custom IDs you add to the input field. You can use for example your article's international article number (EAN) or any other unique codes.
