Enabling booking extensions allows your customers to extend their bookings independently, using just a few clicks. This feature supports both cash and card payments, and automates payments and availability checks, requiring no additional effort on your part.
Limitations
Extension Period: Extensions can be made for a maximum of 7 additional days.
Payment Requirements: Booking extensions are only available with TWICE Payments.
How to Enable Booking Extensions
Navigate to Product Settings: In your TWICE Admin, go to Catalog > [Select the product you want to enable extensions for] > select the Pricing tab.
Enable Extensions: Scroll down to the Extensions card and toggle on Enable Extensions for this product.
Set Extension Pricing: Define a price per hour and/or per day (24h) for the extensions.
How Booking Extensions Work
Customer Interaction: When customers book products that have extensions enabled, they will receive a text message and an email with an extension link.
Extension Process: Customers can use the link to view their current booking details, including start and end times, and rental location. If the product is available for the desired extension period, they can select the additional time they need (hour(s) or day(s)) and pay for the extension.
Booking Update: Once the booking is extended, the new duration and total price will be updated in the respective order automatically.
This feature enhances customer satisfaction by providing flexibility and ease in extending bookings, thereby potentially increasing your revenue through extended rental periods.
