FAQs - Transitioning from TWICE Payments to Stripe

This article covers the "why" behind our infrastructure update, the benefits of the Stripe integration, and answers to common questions.

Updated yesterday

Why is TWICE changing its payment infrastructure?

The transition from "TWICE Payments" (Adyen) to a direct Stripe integration is the first step in decoupling payment dependencies from our core platform.

By moving away from our legacy infrastructure, we are laying the technical foundation that will eventually allow you to connect your own custom or regional payment flows (release date to be confirmed). This shift is about moving toward an "Open Payments" future where you have more choice.

What happens to my historical Adyen data?

We will continue to have access to your historical transaction data for 6 months following the June 1st termination to assist with any enquiries.

If you have any clarification needs for certain transactions of reports, please reach out to us as soon as possible within this 6-month window.

GDPR Compliance: In accordance with GDPR and our data privacy policies, all legacy Adyen transaction data will be permanently deleted after this 6-month grace period. We recommend getting in touch with any potential questions before December 1, 2026.

What are the benefits of using Stripe?

The core benefit of this migration is Merchant Autonomy. Unlike with TWICE Payments, Stripe gives you 100% visibility of your financial data.

  • Full Visibility: Access dashboard.stripe.com anytime to see real-time transaction statuses and history.

  • Self-Service Payouts: Manage your own payout schedules and banking details directly, without needing to contact TWICE support.

  • Instant Refunds & Disputes: Handle customer returns and disputes immediately within your own Stripe dashboard.

  • Detailed Reporting: Export professional-grade financial reports and CSVs for your accounting and tax needs.

What payment methods are available via Stripe?

Currently, our Stripe integration supports Credit and Debit cards. We are continuously evaluating additional payment methods (such as digital wallets and local schemes) as we develop our new payment architecture.

What are the payment processing fees?

Your processing fees depend on your TWICE Subscription tier, just as they did with Adyen. For a detailed list of fees per subscription tier, please refer to our Payment Fees & Pricing Article.

Can I use my own custom gateway?

While we are currently decoupling our infrastructure to make this possible in the future, we do not support custom regional payment flows yet. Stripe is currently the exclusive provider for online payments on the TWICE platform.
