Security deposits in the TWICE Rentals App on Wix are only available for online orders placed via Wix Payments. If you create an order manually in TWICE Admin, both payment and deposit handling must be managed manually—these orders do not sync with Wix's order fulfillment system.

How Security Deposits Work in the TWICE Rentals App on Wix

  • Wix Payments is the only supported payment method—manual deposits (e.g., cash) are not supported for online orders.

  • Security Deposits appear as a separate item in the cart.

  • You can manage deposits for online orders in either TWICE Admin or Wix Order Fulfillment. Any action taken in one system syncs in real time with the other.

  • Deposits can only be fully charged or fully released—partial charges are not supported.

  • Orders created manually in TWICE Admin do not sync with Wix Order Fulfillment. In this case, you must handle deposits and payments manually within the TWICE dashboard.

Managing Deposits in TWICE Admin

  1. Open the order in TWICE Admin.

  2. Click End Order—a pop-up will appear reminding you of the deposit.

  3. Choose to charge (capture) or release (void) the deposit:

    • Charge: The full deposit is charged to the customer.

    • Release: The deposit hold is lifted, and funds return to the customer.

Managing Deposits via Wix Order Fulfillment

  1. Open Wix Orders and find the relevant order.

  2. Under Payment Info, you’ll see:

    • "Partially Paid" and "authorized" as payment status

    • "Authorized" amount, with expiration details.

    • "Amount Due" (this refers to the held deposit).

  3. Click Collect Payment and choose:

    • Capture Payment = Charge deposit.

    • Void Payment = Release deposit.
